Madisa Camp is situated in Namibia’s picturesque Damaraland on the very popular road to the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site. The camp is tucked away amongst amazing rock formations dotted with bushman paintings, and the majestic desert elephant regularly roams the area. The pool welcomes you after a long, hot day on the road and provides a much-needed opportunity to rejuvenate and explore your surroundings. Rustic meals prepared on the open floor are a must for the hungry traveller. Make new friends around the communal camp and enjoy the clear Namibian night sky. Madisa is situated in the Sorris Sorris Conservancy between Uis and Khorixas, on the C35 on the D2612, 18 km towards Twyfelfontein on the Goantagab River. Accommodation is in 7 twin-bedded safari tents, each with an open-air bathroom built into natural rock formations. The camp also has 9 private campsites and 5 overland campsites. Each spacious campsite is shaded by large mopane trees and offers a magnificent view of the Gauntegab River and rock formations.

- Elephant Tracking: This is a full day activity and an amazing experience. Guests are accompanied by a guide who tracks and learns how to read the bush to find these majestic giants in their unique environment. A light lunch and drinks are included
- Guided village walk: These are interesting hours on foot where you can learn about the local culture and spend some time with them in their surroundings
- Sundowner Walk: This is a guided short walk around the huge granite boulders, sharing some interesting facts about the region. Guests finish with a refreshing sundowner overlooking Damaraland
- Scenic Sundowner Drive: This drive starts from camp and winds through the surrounding areas with spectacular views of the dunes, open plains and rock formations. It ends high up on a “koppie” for the most spectacular sunset in Africa
