Situated just 8 km from the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern side of Etosha National Park, Mushara Lodge offers elegant accommodation for park visitors. The lodge consists of ten spacious chalets, one family accommodation, one triple room and two single rooms. Mushara is the indigenous name of the Terminalia tree, which bears purple pods and grows in large numbers on the grounds of the lodge and in the surrounding area. The thatched communal area consists of a small library with a selection of good books, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, an airy lounge with an inviting fireplace for winter evenings, a dining room and a well-stocked gift shop. The lovingly designed interior is a multi-layered mix of traditional African art and contemporary artworks – including many an original painting.
