Set in 7,000 hectares of private nature reserve Desert HOMESTEAD OUTPOST welcomes you with a relaxed natural hospitality. Enjoy the endless panoramic view from one of the 12 guest houses or from the main house with restaurant, lounge and pool terrace, picturesquely situated at the foot of a mountain. In the adjacent plains you can often see some animals roaming in the endless savannah. Guests are invited to take advantage of the lodge’s various activities, excursions to Sossusvlei as well as horse safaris and tours of the picturesque landscape. The outpost is situated in a private nature reserve, adjacent to the Namib Sand Sea World Heritage Site. The NAMIB MOUNTAIN TRAIL is a half-day guided walk for experienced hikers and takes you over mountains and across the plains. Starting early in the morning at Desert Homestead Lodge, the trail leads through stunning scenery to the outpost where a cold drink and the pool await.
