The Khwai area is spectacular, and on the edge of the Khwai River floodplain you will find some of the most beautiful open savannah in Botswana, where wildlife is diverse and abundant. There are many game drives along the river east and west of the campsite. The Dombo Hippo Pools (about 15 km west of the campsite) are a nice place to spend time. There is a resident pod of about 15 hippos and a viewing platform.
