In a small charter plane you fly from accommodation to accommodation in a short time to the highlights in Namibia.

Discover the incredible landscape from the air, the abundance of animals in Etosha, which is unparalleled in southern Africa. You will take off and land on small bush tracks close to the respective safari lodges & accommodation.

From Windhoek you and your pilot will fly to the Namib Naukluft Park, the Sossusvlei Dunes, Etosha National Park and Damarland.

Itinerary

1. Tag: Arrival in Windhoek, capital of Namibia

(F)

Today you arrive in Namibia. Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will be transferred to Olive Grove Guesthouse where you will be met by a representative of African Elegance Safaris, which shall discuss your fly-in safari together with you.

The afternoon can be enjoyed on your own. Dinner is available at the Olive Grove Restaurant.

2. – 3. Tag: Etosha South

(F/A)

Today we head towards Etosha National Park, with its diverse wildlife.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Eros Airport. When the check-in is complete, your flight departs for Etosha National Park.

The flight duration from Eros Airport to the southern part of Etosha is 1 hour and 25 minutes. Upon arrival at the airstrip near the lodge, a transfer will be waiting for you to take you to the lodge.

The afternoon can be enjoyed at leisure. You can enjoy a lazy afternoon by the pool, read a book or book an optional activity at reception.

Day 2

In an open-game viewer vehicle, the entire day is dedicated exclusively to wildlife viewing in Etosha National Park.

114 different species of game live in the park. For avid bird watchers, there are more than 340 species of birds to spot. There are popular game species such as giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, hyena, lion, leopard and antelope species such as kudu, oryx and eland.

Some of the endangered species such as black rhino, cheetah and black-faced impala are also found here. More than 30 waterholes are accessible via an extensive road network.

4. Tag: Twyfelfontein/Damaraland

After a relaxing breakfast, continue over the mountains into the Damaraland region to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein.

In the afternoon, join a local ranger and drive around on an open jeep. Together you will be in search of the desert elephants that roam this area. Here, with luck, you will have the unforgettable opportunity to take unforgettable photos of these gentle giants in unparalleled natural surroundings.

Flight time to Twyfelfontein landing strip: 40 minutes.

5. – 6. Tag: Swakopmund

Today after breakfast we fly further south to Swakopmund, at the Atlantic Ocean. Swakopmund is the adrenalin Oasis of Namibia, with many amazing activities to choose from.

The town is populated by the descendants of former colonisers and civil servants from the German colonial era. German specialities, German architecture and the German language, which is still often heard, are remnants of this history.

The area around Swakopmund (and the town of Walvis Bay, 30km to the south) offers a wide range of activities, including boat tours, exciting desert excursions (the desert lives!), quad bike safaris, kayak tours and much more.

Flight time to Swakopmund landing strip: 40 minutes.

Day 2

A transfer will take you to Walvis Bay around 07:30, where you will check in at the waterfront in time for a dolphin and seal boat cruise.

Explore the marine life around the lagoon and harbor of Walvis Bay. Pelicans, seals, dolphins and – during the season – even whales, sunfish and turtles are waiting to be spotted!

Around 12:30 pm your skipper will bring you back to the Walvis Bay Waterfront. You will then be transferred back to your hotel in Swakopmund.

7. – 8. Tag: Sossusvlei/Sesriem

After breakfast, short transfer back to the airstrip at Swakopmund Airport in time for your flight to Sossusvlei Lodge in the Sossusvlei area. After a short transfer from the airstrip to the lodge, the rest of the day is at leisure.

In the late afternoon you will have the opportunity to participate in a sundowner drive (not included in the price) on the grounds of the lodge.

Flight time to the airstrip from Swakopmund: 90 minutes

Day 2

Today you will take part in a day trip to famous Sossusvlei.

Early in the morning you will be transferred to Sossusvlei in a four-wheel drive vehicle with an experienced guide. Explore the spectacular Dead Vlei, with its snow-white clay soil and parched camel thorn tree trunks reaching into the sky. Admire the star dunes surrounding the famous Sossusvlei, a large pan formed by the shifting sand dunes of the Namib Desert. Climb some of the highest dunes in the world.

After +- 5 ½ hours, return to the lodge in time for lunch.

9. Tag: Windhoek

(F)

Early in the morning you will be transferred back to the airstrip in time for your return flight to Windhoek, to Eros or Hosea Kutako INT. Airport. After transfer to the guesthouse will be waiting for you at the Airport, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Flight time to either of the Windhoek airports: 60 minutes.

10. Tag: Return back home

After breakfast (or depending on flight time) you will receive a transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport. We wish you a pleasant journey home.
