The park offers another fascinating place to observe the spectacular South African wildlife besides the Kruger Park. The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park straddles the border between South Africa and Botswana.
It is an interesting place to see large predators and to observe the exciting seasonal movements of animals such as springbok and wildebeest. The area is about 38,000 square kilometres, with about a quarter of this area in South African territory.
If you are lucky due to the dryness, you will see lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas here. The weather can be oppressively hot during the day and cold at night.
