The Kruger National Park is one of the largest animal reserves in the whole of Africa and measures a mighty 19,485 km². Also visit the Big 5 safaris at Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced border with Kruger Park.
It became South Africa’s first national park and because of its enormous importance, is now part of a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
All 5 members of the Big Five, along with many other species, are represented in this huge park. There are 4 main areas and 9 entrance gates, so it is worth planning your visit in advance.
