In addition to the comforts of modern life in the heart of untamed bushveld, our highly trained rangers share their expanded knowledge with guests so they can gain a deep understanding of the area, adding to their already exciting escape experience. The main camp at aha Thakadu River Camp is located between the Marico River and a small tributary of the Marico. The lodge has an inviting open lounge, dining area and reception as an African bushveld oasis, offering exciting game drives as a complement. The attractive bar and pool area are also ideal for relaxing, and the entire lodge welcomes families. The lodge was carefully built to blend into the surroundings, with the use of wood and thatched roofs. A traditional lapa drops into a clearing of natural floodplain forest and offers panoramic views. In addition to the magnificent view of the gorge and river to the north, guests enjoy the warm hospitality and personal attention of our staff.
