Makgadikgadi is the second largest salt pan in the world. Although it is mostly destroyed throughout the year, the annual rains ensure the growth of grasslands for wildlife. For this reason, there is a massive migration of zebra, springbok and blue wildebeest in the region, followed by large predators such as lion and leopard.
